Charming and inviting, The Woodpecker Chalet offers a rustic, cabin-style experience for up to four guests. The open-plan design includes a queen-sized and double bed, ensuring comfort and relaxation. The chalet comes fully equipped with kitchenware, along with fresh linen and towels. Overlooking the communal Boma area, it’s perfect for evening braai’s.
Beyond the lush green campsite, you’ll find a private deck just 80 steps away, providing a serene fishing experience by the river.

No smoking is allowed inside the unit. Please use the ashtrays provided outside. The Grey Heron and the Barn Owl share a large, paved fishing area. There is a firepit at the fishing area. Maximum 2 rods per person fishing allowed. Portable braai is available. Your pet is allowed as long as you clean up after it and please make sure that your pet does not disturb other guests. On-site tuck shop available with an assortment of snacks, cold drink, wood, ice etc.
We do NOT have a card facility, all payments are to be made via EFT, cash deposit or via the online booking system.
When booking more than 14 days in advance, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
The balance is to be paid via EFT no later than 2 weeks before arrival.
No cash on arrival will be accepted.
If you fail to pay the balance you will forfeit your deposit and the reservation will be cancelled.
When booking within 14 days of arrival, the full amount is payable to secure the booking.
No booking will be secured without payment.
No refunds will be made under any circumstances if cancelling within the 2 week period before arrival – no exceptions!
By securing your booking, you agree that no refund will be given in the event of a natural disaster such as flooding.

No – all rooms and meals are self-catering. There is however an onsite mini-store for small items.
